of World Vision describes research to find out what children
themselves understand about child abuse and neglect. Until we
understand it from their perspective it is difficult for us to
intervene appropriately.
Good Touch & Bad Touch (pdf) is
a one page document by David Goodwin that educates children on
appropriate and inappropriate touch. Though educating children may
be helpful, we must remember it is the responsibility of adults to
protect children.
Grass Roots - Project Bangladesh (pdf)
is another example of good practice at the local level by
INCIDIN.
Aftercare
Viva Network has produced a 'Handbooks' series, which are based
on case studies of various child development programmes. They will
be particularly useful for those considering setting up a project,
but also for those already working with children.

full of pictures and activities designed especially for
