International Working Groups

Below are brief descriptions of three working groups initiated at The Asha Forum's 1st International Consultation in Zwolle, Holland, October 2002.

CHURCH MOBILISATION
Facilitator: Carlos Pinto (Div. of Education Director, HCJB World Radio-Latin America, Ecuador)
Function: Informing, motivating and offering next steps to local churches worldwide through means well integrated with the rest of the forum. The first objective is to develop an introductory video and users manual.
   
ASHA FORUM DEVELOPMENT
Facilitator: Beverly Allison (CEO, Our Little Roses)
Function: Promoting The Asha Forum, identifying key human and financial resource needs and working to meet those needs with the help of forum participants.
   
TRAINING
Facilitators: Silas West (Nepal Field Co-director/South Asia Regional Coordinator, Word Made Flesh Nepal), and Joni Middleton (Training & Network Consultant, Project Rescue (AOG-USA), India)
Function: a) Identifying trainers and trainees, and brokering CSE related training effectively between those who need it and those who can offer training.
b) Helping identify and make resources more available to those working in the CSE field through manuals, books, internet and other resources.

A resource CD with manuals, posters, articles and other literature addressing prevention, intervention and restoration aspects of child sexual abuse will be available soon.
